On the consultations between foreign ministries of Belarus and Italy
07.02.2019 г.On the 7th of February, 2019, a new round of bilateral consultations between foreign ministries of the Republic of Belarus and the Italian Republic was held in Rome.
The Belarusian delegation was led by the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Evgeny Shestakov, the Italian one – by the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mr. Manlio Di Stefano.
During the event current state and perspectives of the development of the political dialogue between Belarus and Italy, as well as between Belarus and EU were examined. The plans for the enhancement of intergovernmental and interparliamentary contacts, as well as legal framework accomplishment were discussed.
The parties analyzed precisely the dynamics of Belarus-Italy economic cooperation and implementation of common investment projects, as well as a number of issues in the fields of humanitarian and consular collaboration.
They also itemized their positions and relevant fields of consistent promotion of the initiatives of our countries within international and regional organizations (OSCE, Central European Initiative, UN system bodies etc.).
