Permanent Representative of Belarus to the FAO Aleksandr Guryanov participates in the World Food Day
16.10.2019 г.On 16 October, 2019 the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the FAO Aleksandr Guryanov took part in the World Food Day held at the headquarters of the FAO. This annual event addresses problem of hunger, improved nutrition and food security including in the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and at the same time marks the 74th anniversary of the FAO’s founding.
The Head of the Council of Ministers of Italy Giuseppe Conte participated in the event as an honoured guest, heads of the relevant ministries of several countries made their statements.
Within the framework of World Food Day a thematic exhibition was held whereby attention was drawn to the role of coordinated actions of governments, civil society, farmers and youth in achieving the goals of promoting healthy diet.
