On the presentation in Rome by Chernobyl Children International

On the 30th of January, 2020, a representative of the Embassy of Belarus in Italy took part in the event organized in Rome by the Embassy of Ireland at the Holy See together with the fund Chernobyl Children International (CCI) on the occasion of the Irish popular holiday — St. Brigit’s  Day, in which CCI founder Ms. Adi Roche gave a presentation “The Chernobyl Catastrophe — Ireland’s Unique Response.”

In her speech, the head of the Fund emphasized the contribution of the authorities and the diplomatic service of Belarus to attracting the attention of the world community to Chernobyl issues.

Since 1993, non-governmental charitable organization Chernobyl Children International has been helping the people of Belarus to overcome the consequences of the Chernobyl catastrophe. The main areas of the activities of the Fund: opening of children's rehabilitation and day care centers (at present operating in Mogilev and Gomel regions), sponsoring treatment (including complicated and expensive surgery) of the children and adults affected by the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster, the rehabilitation of Belarusian children in Ireland.
